- What you're looking for is right in front of you.
- Compose a haiku, preferably in a restful outdoors setting. Enter a calm meditative state of mind. Be aware of your surroundings and the atmosphere. Be aware and see what arises. A haiku usually has 17 syllables, but you could start with 8-12 words, no matter the number of syllables. Once you have written a haiku, do not try to improve it. Leave it as it is. Your haiku will present itself at the right time, like it has always existed.
- Your compassion must include yourself.
