- First, train yourself to be present in the moment with what is there. Second, develop the attitude of self-acceptance so that whatever arises is OK, thus coming to terms with yourself. Third, abandon all goals.
- The person who practices loving speech and deep listening is practicing peace.
- Take the situation of a country suffering war or another situation of injustice. See that every person involved in the conflict is a victim. See that none of those people want the suffering to continue. See that the two opposing sides are really aspect of the same reality. Realize that killing, oppression, or clinging to ideologies will not solve anything. Wish for them to find compassion and abandon the fight.
