- You can strengthen your response of compassion by working with another person who is in pain. Take some time to quietly be with that person. Observe your mind and heart's reaction. Look directly at the other person with warmth, as a fellow human being, with a sense of connection. Stay with this process until you develop more compassion.

- Reflect over and over again on what makes you human inside. Build on this to gain unwavering trust in your own nature and find your self-confidence.
