- Contemplate that your whole body changes constantly. After seven or eight years, every cell has been renewed. Contemplate that your brain also changes and renews its cells over this seven- or eight-year cycle. Are you this changing body and mind?
- The cause of all suffering is craving. Desire things that you do not have, and suffering will follow. Realize this and peace will be yours.
- Awareness can be helped by movement: being sedentary can often encourage daydreaming (unless you're meditating). Instead of taking the elevator, make a habit of walking up the stairs. You might even choose to treat this as a meditative exercise, and silently repeat a mantra to yourself as you climb upward.
