- Do a sea tumbling relaxation exercise. Lie down in a comfortable place, with your arms and legs flopped out naturally. Imagine lying at the sea's edge on an empty beach. The tide is coming in. Gentle waves lap your feet and ankles and very slowly move up your body until you are bathed in shallow water. As the water rises, sense yourself starting to float and being drawn by the rhythmic currents out to sea. Feel the waves beneath you as you glide over their peaks and troughs. Physically, turn over onto your front. Now imagine riding the crest of a wave and arriving back on the shore, on smooth warm sand. Stay here and experience the profound calm induced by the meditation.
