- Do a meditation to relieve brain drain and restore energy. Sit and place your palms together, with your index fingers together and pointed. Hold your hands several inches out from your diaphragm with your pointed fingers up at a 60-degree angle. Chant the mantra Ong, extending the sound through your nasal passages as OOONNNNG. Sense the sound coming from the back of your palate. Repeat as long as you wish; then rest or go to sleep.
- Practice loving-kindness to your tendency to eat mindlessly, to judge yourself, to feel impatient, angry, fearful.
- Practice contentment -- find happiness with what you have and with who you are.
